Sell the Entertainment coupon book - I've seen organizations make lots of $$ by selling them (and it is EASY!)

An organization I was in in college sold "condom pops" the week of Valentine's day. You can buy lollipop sticks at craft stores or the supermarket or anywhere they sell candy making supplies. Then glue a wrapped condom to a stick, and tie a little bow on it. (You can probably get condoms for free or very cheap at your school's infirmary.)

Another big seller is t-shirts. Homecoming season is coming up, and if you can come up with a clever design about your mascot, the other team's mascot, "top 10" something, etc., people will buy almost anything. And you can shop around and find somewhere to print them cheaply.

They did a fund raiser recently at a fair, though I imagine you could just set a table up on campus and do this: Put a lock on a box with a lid, and get a whole pile of keys - only one key will unlock the box. People play to take a turn picking a key and trying the lock. If they choose the key that opens the box, they win a prize. We had prizes donated by alumni and some local businesses (things like movie tickets, I think a bike, restaurant gift certificates).

Check around your area and see if there is an aluminum recycling factory like Alcan or Novelis. We have one near here and they have a fund raising program where any not-for-profit organization can collect recyclable aluminum cans and the factory will match they money earned for the cans collected. Check around your area and see if something like that is available.

sell your free time in the form of services to the community...sell car washes where u show up at someone's home and wash their car...wash their dog....wash their porch....cut their lawn...do their laundry...babysit....even fix their dinner (they provide the food). earns larger amounts of money in a smaller amount of time because you can generally average $10 per hour.
