anything that is good for a windows 98 second edition.just a good burner to burn cds from limewire etc.?any help would be appreciated!

Have you tried the 'Nero' It worked when I had to add one to my old computer. Comes with soft ware and instructions and how too's .

Any CD burner will do. However, wait your still running win98. I'm assumming your using an old machine. I would look for a new burning but something not loaded with a lot of features. You might as well be better off purchasing one that is at least a couple years old. The reason why I say this is because the transfer speeds of the IDE channel on old PCs is about 66 Mbps and you might bump into some issues using the newest burners. However, you can get a cd burning (cheap one) for like 20 dollors or so.

as someone who builds computers as a hobby, the only drive i ever use is memorex or sony... and generally i stick with memorex. they're reasonably affordable, especially for something as simple as a cd burner, but of pretty solid quality as well.

I got a NEC drive from Newegg.com. cost under $50 and was very easy to install on my own.

Best bet would be to buy one on Ebay...You have choice of new or used...Good luck
