Please consult a chiropractor ASAP. Try not to just get a name out of the phone book, though; if possible get recommendations from people you know, as some are much, much more skilled than others. A good chiropractor can make an amazing difference in your comfort level. It may take treatments three or four times a week for up to a month to help; it's not a ripoff, just the way chiropractry works. You should start feeling some improvement after the first few treatments but not necessarily after the first one - don't give up too quickly. The treatment takes time, but it does work, and the positive effects last for a long time.

In addition to doing spinal adjustments, most chiropractors can fit you with shoe inserts to help balance your body better. And, yes, shoe inserts can help with pain in your back or neck or knees or almost anyplace else!

Pain is a major stress for your whole body - you need to get help right away. Good luck!
