In japan, with such a huge population, not much of a christian religious culture, how is sexual culture?

I personally because of religion and my personal beliefs, i wouldn't have sex until i'm married and after age 30. Im 26 now .But in japan, many people don't have religion such as christianity, and there's alot of people, and there's alot of beautiful girls, etc. So is there alot of casual sex , premarital sex going on?

The Japanese are VERY open to sex, much like the Europeans. However, it is mostly happening behind closed doors. I am not counting porn and the like since that is obviously out in the open. I am talking about people's relationships.

Please don't assume because a person or people is not Christian that they have some sort of moral inferiority. A lot of non-Americans would look at our so-called "Christian" nation, see its 55% divorce rate, and then some conclusions about Christianity.

You really believe that there is no religion in Japan?.
People go to Shrine, pray and ask to God, and funeral with Buddism..etc. Not only Shinto and Buddism, there are tons of religious organizations exist in Japan as well.

The style and definition of religion in Asia are different from the west. You can't define them in one word.
The religion in Asia is commonly Polytheism.
Not monotheism like the one in west.
And the way ppl think about the religion is also not same as the west.

Not only Japan, many youths have premarital sex in the world.
Are you thinking only Japan is speceial? no way. Probably you are interested in Japaanese girls.

In my experience, almost EVERYONE in Japan is religious--it's just that they aren't Christian. Sure, they don't go to "church" (i.e. Shrine and Temple) every week, but they have beliefs, strong one's too, that govern their way of perceiving right, wrong, and the world in general. They just don't feel the need to go knock on everyone's door and tell them about it. Don't forget that there is a strong prohibition against open disagreement in Japanese society, so discussions of religion are generally not had to avoid causing tension.

Plus, even non-religious people have morals and ethics. Don't assume that religions are the only source of morality.

well the older generation there was not too much casual sex and premarital sex but with the generation x and z they are very active. but mostly the younger one under 20s. and in japan if your not married by the age of 25 your parents usually arrange a marriage for you.

Well, Christianity hasn't prevented majority of Christian Americans from having sex in their teens. If you don't believe that, you live in a cave!! Casual sex is much less prominent in Japan.

I was wondering the same thing. But even without Christianity there's like social norms and stuff like that. Most culture favor virginity so maybe like cultural pressure keeps the place from going into full on orgy.

*Bows deeply* In their culture they worship their ancestors as a form of deity. Technically they wait until marriage and both sets of parents watch their children have sex to make sure the marriage is consumated.

HOWEVER, having said that- Japan makes and sells some of the thinnest condoms in the world, and they're so thin the FDA refuses to sell them as condoms because of the possibility of breakage.
