Lots of answeres but no specifics.

Pressing Print Screen will take a snapshot of your entire screen.

Pressing Shift-Print Screen will take a snapshot of your entire screen as well.

Pressing Alt-Print Screen will take a snapshot of just the application you are currently using.

When you use either of these, it creates a bitmap of the snapshot in the Clipboard. You can generally paste it into any program that accepts images.

Hope this helps.

There is a Yahoo widget that takes screenshots.
First, get the Yahoo Widget Engine here : http://widgets.yahoo.com/
Then do a search on the gallery section of the same site for Screen Shooter.
There are many great programs out there too, like Snagit from techsmith.
