Remember a little goes a long way. Use a slanted makeup brush for eyes instead of a sponge applicator. Make sure you prep your eyelid with some foundation or pressed powder so that your eyeshadow doesn't crease from natural oils on your lid. Dust a silver/grey shadow on your lid which is the part of the skin that covers your actual eyeball. Look at yourself in the mirror and tilt your head back as if you are a Queen looking down at her people. This makes it easier to see your crease which is the gap between your eyeball and your browbone. Little by little sweep the tiniest amount of black shadow into the crease of your outer eye. When there is no more shadow left on your brush blend upwards towards your browbone for a more smokier blended effect. Finish off with a black liquid eyeliner and two to three coats of mascara. Curl lashes. Dot and blend a shimmering beige highlighter in the inner eye area to make your eyes pop out drammatically. You can also email mac artists for your question and they will recommend the exact colors you need.

First, line inside both the top and bottom rims with a black eye pencil, paying close attention to going into the the lashline itself.
Then, with a small eyeshawdow brush, soften the black eye pencil line's edges.

Apply black powder eyeshadow (using a sponge-tip applicator) directly over the pencil and smudged. (If you prefer, you can use your finger tip.) The shadow helps to set and further soften the look.

Next apply neutral brown eyeshadow with a larger eyeshadow brush. Encircling the entire eye area, be sure to soften and graduate outward (from the eye itself) for that perfect blended look.

Finish with black mascara on curled lashes.

Keep the lip color really light, so you're eyes take all the attention

i use a dark eyeliner and a shadow that is about the same color as the liner. apply a thick line of the liner right along the lash line. then apply the shadow just above the liner, but don't go past the crease of your eyelid. smudge the shadow up and out a little and then use a very light (pale pink or white) eyeshadow to highlite along the brow line, the inside corner of your eye and under your eye. good luck and happy birthday!!

Treat yourself to a free make over at your local mall and tell the make-up artist what look you want for your eyes and then have her explain each step to you and buy only the eye shadow or liner she uses to achieve the look. I know exactly the look you want but don't know how to do it on myself without looking like I have a black eye, racoon or hooker. Good luck and give YOURSELF a birthday present!!!

buy about 2-3 colors 1 shade lighter than the next. or crystal white shadow can work. just get a big eye shadow brush and sweep across your eyes. then use the white or lighter shade to color on the side of your eyes.

you can always ask someone else to do it for you

If you use grey or black eye liner around your eyes (getting as close to your eye lashes as possible) then use a silver eye shadow with mascara, you should get the look you're going for. Good Luck!

if your talking about makeup get a dark color like brown or black and use a smaller makeup brush to put it on. and make sure you don't put to much on by the edge of your eyes and it will look really pretty and you can use it with any color or multiple colors if you want. and you can get the makeup brushes really cheap at walmart.
