My Mom - I first met her around about the time I was born and have met her on many occasions since. She's not particularly famous but has peformed songs that some people will know and written songs that everyone will know.
I've met other famous people, some only very briefly including the Queen of England who popped in and said hello (I was in a property she owns at the time). The same thing happened with Prince Charles.
I've met 3 people who have stood on the moon - Buzz Aldrin, Charlie Duke and another one who's name I've forgotten (one of the last to visit).
I've met lots of footballers (UK premiership ones) including Beckham, Henry, Owen etc - the company I worked for kept organising VIP Trips to premiership matches.
Met some movie stars and music stars but not many that are really famous apart from briefly meeting Paul McCartney and Bono.
Perhaps the best person I met was Brian Blessed (actor from the Harry Potter films and other stuff). We both love mountain climbing so spoke for ages. He's very down to earth and just a regular guy. We had a drink together, he told lots of funny stories, we had a laugh.

Pharrell from the Neptunes at Bar Norfolk
Dale Earnhardt Jr (against his will in the NASCAR pits)
Jodie Sweetin from Full House
Jonathan Taylor Thomas (back when he was hot stuff on Home Improvement!)
Barbara Bush actually held my little brother when he was in Walter Reed Medical Center for surgery, like 14 years ago. (Hate the presidents, love the wives!)
The entire Blue Man Group stayed at the hotel I worked at, (okay so they're like D-Listers, but so cool anyways, we got front row tickets to their show)
Shania Twain

Met Robert Downey Jr. with his wife at an AIDS walk-a-thon back in the early 90's near Paramount Studios.... they were both very kind and sweet.
I also met George Clooney. That was in Playa Vista, CA. He was also incredibly kind and polite in person.

odd question but i have met Bill Clinton, when he was campaigning the first time he ran for president shook his hand and talked with him for about 30 seconds and Worf from star trek at a little cafe in Evergreen Colorado talked with him for a few minutes got his autograph and then went back to my table to finish my food....he was a really nice guy and really cool about being approached and a couple other minor celebs I'm sure no one would have heard of...
