Forget the Internet itself. It's too easy for him to cover his tracks. You need to go to the source of the cash: this means either your bank accounts or credit cards.

Almost all poker sites accept direct payments from Visa and the like. There are also indirect payment methods, such as Paypal and Neteller. Sometimes the company names are quite obscure, as they use clearing houses with purposely bland and non-descriptive titles -- exactly to throw off suspicious spouses.

If you have online banking, it will show up much faster on the statements than if you have to wait for a monthly bill. Your husband cannot change your bank statements, they are read-only, so log on and check them out. Or wait until he's out and phone the customer service numbers.

One word of caution. If your husband has been playing poker, find out whether he's a losing player before you go ballistic. I know of many players who gamble without their wives knowing and make a decent amount of money, which they then use to surprise their wives with later.

Of course, that's unlikely, but worth a thought. Good luck, sleuth!

You can see what sites he is visiting from the history as you know. You would need to have his password to see how much he is spending. If he is gambling real money it has to come from somewhere. Many banks have policies against internet gaming. Check for withdrawls to PayPal or NETeller.

Try logging in and using passwords you know he uses. Then, if you get on, try accessing My Account or something like that.
