I have a game in the format of .iso and .bin that I can be mounted in order to run it. To make it smaller for storage, can I zip or rar it and then unzip it and use it? I don't see why not....

well you can, but you wont be able to mount it, and zipping doesnt save much space anyway, so I suggest just leaving it,
plus zip files are easly corrupted

the best way is to right click the iso file, and in the propertys page push advanced and make it compressable by ntfs, then you can mount it still and have it compressed a little.

You can definitely zip it, but you won't be able to mount it unless you unzip it then mount it.
