I have insecurity issues, too. But, as with a lot of different problems, identifying the underlying reason WHY you feel the way you do is a huge step in dealing with these feelings. Obviously talking to a counselor should help, too. It's real easy to focus on your own downfalls and flaws. But don't let yourself forget all the good things about yourself. You should try making a list of all your good qualities and achievements, then whenever you feel like maybe you're not good enough or feel like that insecurity is sneaking up on you again, you can take a look at that list and know that it's really not that bad.
Good luck!!!!

Most (maybe all) people have insecurity problems - it comes from being born into this world. Recognising that you have them is a start, working on them is the next step - but don't expect to conquer them quickly or easily as sometimes too much damage is done too early in childhood for the problems to be cleared up overnight. I had real problems with this until I started to help people with even more insecurity than I had.

If the insecurity is from a relationship I find that I talk to my partner and that always helps. I have no reason to feel insecure but sometimes it just might be the day or mood I am in. I don't even have to say "I am feeling insecure", I just bring up a topic and it gets worked out.
Only I can change insecurity issues with how I feel about my image of myself. I know I have to love myself in order for others to love me, so I always treat myself well. I look in the mirrior and tell myself I am beautiful, just how I am. I workout on a daily basis which just makes me feel good overall.

It's about letting go. You have to find it in yourself to accept things the way they are. Make small steps.. and know that you are just perfect the way you are.
You could always find something that interests you enough to take away the time you feel insecure. Find your weakest times.. for instance.. if in the evening you feel the most insecure, find something else to do with that time, and before you know it.. the time that you would have spent concentrating on your insecurities has now vanished. It sounds a little far fetched, but it may help.
Good luck in all that you do.

It's difficult to answer that question without further details, but it's a positive move if you are prepared to see a Counsellor.

You gotta stop thinking that the world revolves around you. Once you decide the world goes around with or without you, it'll be easier to see that we're all in this thing together. Your issues are no bigger or more important than anyone else's.
Don't mean to be harsh, but the reality is there are millions of issues to be concerned about without your insecurity.
Another thing is to volunteer at a homeless shelter or somethhing and find out where the real problems are and how small yours may seem.

set a goal for yourself, something you feel you can't accomplish, and then go for it. You will feel so good about yourself, and see that you can set out to do what you want to, that it will make you feel stronger inside,. It doesn't have to be a big thing, just something that will make you feel like you have conquered the world (at least your own little world).

I think it really helps if you know all your good attributes, write them down, believe them, be the best you can be. Then you don't have to be insecure, because you are "good enough"...even in your own mind.
