If a = 5/2,then
a/1=5/2,
a/1/5/2=1
2/5=1/a.
simply take the reciprocal of both .

Multiply the numerator and denominator in the expression 1/a by 2/5.
(1 x 2/5)/(5/2 x 2/5)
You can see that the numerator will be 2/5 and the denominator cancels out, i.e., 5/2 x 2/5 = 1.

it is this i am sure you should first do this 5/2 = 2.5 then divide 1 to 2.5 = 1 / 2.5 = 0.4:
1/(5/2) = 0.4
