As far as "Obey", I do not. I think the best way to describe me is a quote from Will Rogers:
"There are three kinds of folks: The ones that learn by reading.
The few who learn by observation. The rest of them just have to pee on the electric fence."
I am very familiar with that darn fence, and let me tell you: it hurts!!! Lol, I prefer to make my own mistakes and learn the lesson rather then blindly follow the advice of others. That is why I do not obey.
However, just because I do not obey my parents doesn't me I don't pay attention. I actively listened to my parents growing up and even as an adult, I still follow their advice. I may not blindly follow orders, but I take what they say in serious consideration. After all, they HAVE been there.

I'm 27 years old and I still obey my parents. After years of experience, I know that my parents know what is best for me. My parents don't even have to ask me to do certain things, I just do it because I love them. My parents are my best friends!

No. But I'm waaaay past 18, so I don't have to. Of course, I didn't obey them when I was younger either. They were really wacked out back then.

I'm 22 years old and married and I have my parents on a pedestal. I had a horrible childhood and the parenting skills often fell well below average, but I love them very much and couldn't imagine doing anything to hurt them or to disrespect them. You should do the same.
