If you are considering it but aren't 100% sure about it. Don't do it.

Try using an IUD first. They last for up to 10 years, and you don't ever have to remember to take a pill, change a ring, get a shot- whatever.

Plus, if you decide to have another child, you are fertile again pretty much as soon as it is removed.

Of course they are only 99.8% effective so there is always a small chance you could get pregnant.

I feel it is the individuals choice, I personally don't see anything wrong with it. I did it after having 2 c sections, I was 33 when i had my second child and I didn't feel that I wanted anymore. But throughout the past 5 years I did feel like i wish I could have had another. So pray about it and ask God to guide you. Be sure that what you decide is what you really want.
God Bless.

This is definitely an option. If a woman has already children and she does not desire to have any more why not? This decision ought to be taken by the woman and only her. Nevertheless, there have been instances that women have regretted their decision; for example, someone who after remarrying wanted another child or after a child's death (sad but true). In these cases, it is possible to get pregnant again with IVF.

The quality of sterilization services is often an indicator of the quality of other reproductive health services. Aspects of sterilization that are relevant to other reproductive health services include assuring voluntary decision-making, providing counseling services, preventing infection, maintaining clinical safety, reducing the discomfort and pain clients feel, establishing standards and guidelines for care, and providing follow-up care.

I wish your question would have had a little more detail to it.
It depends I guess on why........and do you mean before a woman has had a chance to have children..or when they don't want to have children.....
Or are you talking about as a means in young girls to keep them from getting pregnant?
If your an adult and you make that decision...then its your choice to make
But if your a child..then it is wrong and inhumane......your depriving that girl of ever knowing how it feels to be a mother.
My opinion....

I think if a woman does not want to have a child then they should get the treatment. BUT only if they know they will never change her mind.

Its a good idea for women who are married and already have children. If your marriage is the least bit rocky...I wouldn't do it. 25 year old marriages can end in divorce.

if it is her choice, then so be it. It's easier and less dangerous and invasive for a man to have a vasectomy but some woment choose to have their tubes tied instead.
