Kind of doing this for fun. I usually write spy thriller, sci-fi and military kind of stuff and I'm working on a kinda/sorta romance story now. Just want to see what other ideas people throw out at me.

girl goes out with a guy "friend" that she's known for 8 years and there were supposed to be other people hanging out with them, but the other people never showed up. the guy "friend" hits on her. she gets angry (because she's not one bit attracted to him and he just ruined their friendship) and now she has to travel back home on the other side of the city by herself. Then she meets a man on the subway headed in the same direction. he helps her get home but they have all kinds of bad experiences on the way home. (they miss the bus after chasing it for 6 blocks, cab drivers won't stop, they have to walk through bad neighborhoods, crazy stuff.) I'll leave the ending up to you.

this happened to me over the weekend, but i don't have time to write about it. good luck.

Twist on an old TV show I saw: a guy (or gal, doesn't matter) finds a device that allows him to freeze time for about 60 seconds (+/- 3 secs, he can't control it precisely). Furthermore, he cannot move anything other than himself because everything else is REALLY frozen and is hard to the touch (like stone). He struggles to find any useful things to do with this device before it runs out of power (oh did I mention that it's running out of power?). Lastly, he won't know if the next time he uses the device will be the last time it'll work since he has no idea how it works.

Ask the question again to get another suggestion.

Okay, I bought "The Writer's Block" by jason Rekulak. It is really helpful with these sorts of things. I like:

Describe the secret life of a school bus driver.

hmmm, i like spy thrillers, but romance isnt my cup-of tea, but you could do like a romance between a spy who has to date this other spy to see what theyre up to during a war and they endup falling in love for real.....Good Luck!
