Check the settings of the following:

Linksys Router: Check the DHCP settings to ensure it is giving out at least 3 or even more IP addresses

IS the wired one getting a dynamic IP from the router or a static IP?

Are the wireless ones getting a dynamic IP?

It is possible that the router is also set to MAC cloning. This is then probably set to the MAC of the wired computer. Removing this should allow the other wireless systems to work. Can both wireless systems get on the Internet when the wired computer is off?

Would help to know the exact model number and firmware version of your router.

The Linksys router is supposed to be able to do this automatically. You probably have something set wrong, either on the PCs or the router. Be sure all computers are set to obtain an IP address automatically in the TCP/IP protocol properties under Network Settings.

Connect one computer at a time. Check what IP address it is being assigned. From a command prompt, type "IPCONFIG /ALL" on the XP computers (also for Win2000) and on the 98 computer click Start/Run and type "WINIPCFG" in the box. All computers should have an IP address that starts with 192.168 and all should end with a different number.

If that doesn't work, recommend that you do a hard reset on the router to factory configuration and go through the entire configuration procedure as spelled out in the manual. You do have the manual, right? If not download it from Linksys.

Don't forget to write down the network settings for your ISP before you reset, otherwise they will be lost.

If that doesn't work call Linksys

I have a similiar setup at my house, the mostly likely reason is that your computers are not configured to connect to your routers ssid. Windows 98 does not have native wireless support built into the operating system so you will need to install any manfacture's drivers/utilities to allow it to communicate. Mostly likey though you just need to tell both systems to connect to your router's ssid. This name by default will be linksys, so thats the name you can try to enter first on your wireless systems.

the router will allow you to surf the web similtaneously on multiple computers.

the gateway is wired direct bypassing the router. set up the router close to the gateway and come off the router to the gateway, in other words let the signal go thru the router first.
