I am planning my first trip from Malaga to Marrakech for sometime in November 2006. (7-8 nights)
1. My Biggest Question -- How does one get from Malaga to Marrakesh? What forms of transportation are available? I am prefer ferry or train. How much time is needed? How much is the fare?
I really appreciate any tips that any of you can provide.
Thanks so much!

there is a ferry from malaga to melilla , then can go to nador and than catch a bus there for Marrakesh!
6 hours with ferry 35euro deck fare
cca 2 hours from mellila to nador (border crossing) 1euro
cca 12 hours with bus 15 euro wit non-CTM bus
so if you go with 1pm ferry from malaga next day at the same time you should be in Marrakesh

for ferry check Transmediterranea
enjoy

From malaga to marrakesh, you must go to algeciras to get a ferry. it´s better if you rent a car and take the "autoestrada do mediterranio" - Highway that goes in all Spanish coast. In algeciras, take care and attentions for bad gays. normally they use stranger to be used like elements for transportation and they go near. In ceuta you must take the sign to marrocos and pass the boarder. Look always for the bed and lots of traffic. Attention for the streets seller's

I did a search on Side Step and found this

The cheapest ticket was $226. I don't know what your budget is.
Good luck!
