No way. I just can't buy into that theory. If Harry was a horcrux, Lord Voldy wouldn't be slinging the killing curse at him. And Lord Voldy chose objects that he could protect or entrust to someone to protect. If he was going to make Harry a horcrux, wouldn't he have done better to leave his parents alive? Now, I fully believe Dumbledore was right about his guess that Voldy was going to make another horcrux after killing Harry. That makes sense -- he would want to memorialize as important a murder as that. But make Harry into a horcrux? No way.
And by the way, JKR has firmly stated that Dumbledore is dead and not coming back. The other little boy born in July was Neville Longbottom. And Snape is evil, period.

Harry Potter cannot possibly be a Horcrux because Voldemort would not entrust his soul in someone who can easily die or be killed by one of the Death Eaters who doesn't know about the Horcruxes.
As Dumbledore said, creating a Horcrux out of a living creature is not the best idea.

I very briefly considered this theory a few months ago, but then I came to a realization that contradicts it: Voldemort cannot stand to be in Harry... Harry's weapon.. love itself is too much for the evil of Voldie. This is the reason that Voldie was destroyed when he tried to kill Harry as a baby. It is also the reason he was forced out of Harry's body when he tried to possess it in the Ministry of Magic scene at the end of The Order of the Phoenix.
Also, as others have stated, Voldie would NOT purposefully make Harry a horcrux.. it makes no sense whatsoever. ... the better theory is that it occurred accidentally when Voldie was destroyed in Godric's Hollow. However, I don't think this is the case: If Voldie could stand to be in Harry, then NO PART of VOLDIE (including 1/7th of his soul) could stand to be in Harry. Therefore, I disagree with this theory that Harry or his scar could be a horcrux.

I've heard a lot of people that have that same theory, but personally I'm don't think so. Why would Voldemort make Harry Potter a horcrux if he needs to kill Harry in order to live. Unless, of course, he doesn't know Harry is his horcrux because it happened the first time he tried to kill him. Anyway, my theory is that Harry wont kill Voldemort but Neville will. I think there will be a big fight between Voldemort and Harry in which Voldemort will be on the verge of finally killing Harry when Neville comes up behind him and kills Voldemort. OK so it sounds kinda pathetic when I actually write it down, but I still don't think Harry will be the one to kill Voldemort. That's my theory anyway. I guess will just have to wait to see what really happens.

I've been thinking that too! That would make sense in a weird way, because neither can live while the other survives...or something to that effect. The other theory I ( and all of my friends, plus everyone else in the world I've heard :-D) is that R.A.B. is Regulus Black, Sirius' brother. Also, J.K. Rowling has also said that many people " will LOATHE the ending of the 7th book." I'm assuming that means may people will die...or Harry will wake up and it's all been a dream. Wouldn't THAT be an awful ending.

Actually you very close Harry himself is not a horcrux but his scar is! Why else would his scar hurt when Voldemort is nearby!? JK does not want copycat books extending her stories so yes I believe Harry will die in this last book. It will be a happy end as all the books really stress Harry's love for his parents he will now be with them and destroy Voldemort in process

that would be kind of dumb, because if Harry would have been killed in a freak accident or something, Voldemort would then be 1 horcrux short. they are both trying to live out the phropcey, (neither can live while the other survies....) why would Voldemort want to kill his horcrux??
its a good theory, but i dont think it'll work out to be that way.
I cant wait to read it too!!

harry's scar can b a horcrux
bcz if it is then 2 kill voldemort harry will have 2 kill himself so that the horcrux gets destroyed
so mayb voldemort must have put a part of his soul in harry of which the scar is a result

I don't think it is likely. Somewhere in book 6, I think Dumbledore says it, but he says in reply to the idea that Nagini (the snake) is a horcrux that it is unwise to have something living be a horcrux. So Harry being a horcrux seems unlikely if it's questionable that Nagini would be one.
