Shank is a prison term for a home made blade of some kind, and getting shanked is getting stabbed with one. Could that be an answer to your question or is shainked different than shanked I wonder?

Typically in most prisons a "shank" is a small sharp homemade object used to stab a fellow prisoner. When one prisioner decides that he wants to kill another prisoner he will sneak up behind the guy and thrust the instrument into him as far as he possibly can and then he will break off the sharp end of the instrument leaving part of it inside of the victim causing him to be seriously injured or even possibly bleeding to death.
Loosely it is used in the main stream to indicate that someone took advantage of you in a social or business deal. (i.e. "I told my customer that I had to go to the restroom and I would be right back. Before I returned one of the other sales guys stole my customer and closed the deal. I got SHANKED!)

I think you have it mispelled. A shank is a slang for a makeshift knife usually crafted from scrap metal, or (as a verb) the use of such a weapon; to stab someone
