I wondered the same thing. So don't ask anything that will make you cringe later on.

Been up to no good...huh?
IF the question hasn't been "resolved" yet, you can delete answers by clicking on the "delete" link under your answer. This will not remove the question itself from your Q&A page, but will remove your answer from it. You can then "burry" it under a truckload of questions and have it pushed back.
For your own Questions, the process is pretty much the same.
In both cases, I believe only you see the "deleted questions" and "questions from which you have deleted your answers", i.e., someone else browsing your Q&A page won't know unless they log in as you (or maybe your spouse makes you browse, lol).
In either case, after the answer is resolved, there is nothing you can do.

As far as I can tell, there is no way for the individual to delete any questions or answers at all. Yahoo does the deleting.'

U can delete only those questions of urs which are in the open category. Once the question is resolved or put to vote it cannot be deleted. Please click the link given below and read FAQs of yahoo answers.

You can't delete...only Yahoo! Answers can delete. It is their "baby" and they want all the control in their hands.
