I have two answers
Romeo and Juliet with L. DiCaprio adapted in a more contmporary visual style. While if you want devotion to the original it would have to be K. Branagh's Hamlet.

I'm probably going to get smeared for the but I think "William Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet" was the best ever. I watch that movie about once a year. I love it.
