Sometimes not the whole thing is used but you still may need to go up in size, esp. if this is happening during your heavier days. Try a different brand too. ALso you can buy the multi size pack that will let you try out different sizes to see what is best.
I would say give the tampax pearls brand a shot.

Also you may simply need to change it more often during heavy times. I know for me I may need to change it every 2-3 hours.

I don't use Playtex because everytime I have, that has happened to me also. I prefer Tampax. Also, it is important to use the size that most corresponds to your flow. If your flow is not heavy, use Regular. If that still seems like too much, then use Lites. They also offer a combo pack, which is great for those who fluctuate... because if you are like me... I like to spend as little money as possible on these things. Ergh!

don't get super unless there is a lot of blood. your risk of getting TSS is MUCH higher at higher absorbancies. Are you sure you are putting the tampon all the way in? because it may not be soaking up properly if you do not. be sure to push the applicator all the way in. You could try another brand if you want. But it doesn't sound like you need to use super.

I would stick with regulars. It doesn't sound like your flow is that heavy. I've tried almost all of them and tampax is definetely the best for no leaks!!

Try a smaller tampon or different brand. Also, tampons are not healthy to use, you should use pads, unless you are swimming or doing sports, things to that nature.

I would try the other tampons, but since you're young, go with regular.

Tampax is a good brand, you will probably find that it does not leak.
