The first thing I would check would be the fuel filter, the second thing would be the fuel pump and finally, the fuel line.
I had the same problem with my Motor Home and the problem was both the fuel line and the intermediate fuel filter (there are 2 filters on the engine). The fuel line could have a pin hole in it or the inside could be flaking off and clogging the line... that's what happened with mine... and it clogged the filter.
Have them start at the fuel tank and work towards the engine.

There are a few things that can cause this.
A bad primer pump( not all diesels have one)
Bad injunction pump
Stopped up filter
A break in the fuel line. or a small hole in the line will not allow the pump to suck the fuel from the tank.
Hope this helps

Hi,
There are many causes depending on the particular set up, blocked strainer in the fuel tank, leak in lift pipes, sticking valves in the lift pump, faulty lift pump, leak in the filter housing, clogged filter element, faulty injection pump, leak in other pipes.

Bad fuel pump, blocked filter, or (not likely) leaking injectors.
