I agree, there are some right insensitive ********** out there, and they wonder why they can't get a nice woman to like them, wouldn't you wonder ...

But anyway, I used to have truly awful periods, 3 days of debilitating pain along with homocidal urges, I eventually went on the pill for a while, but that wasn't so comfortable as I started putting on weight ... plus it really messed up my cycle when I came off it. Basically I couldn't do anything during this time of the month. The gyno prescribed some really strong painkillers for me, but they were pretty useless too because I was so doped up I couldn't do anything ... plus I always got horribly constipated ...

Then last year I tried Evening Primrose Oil supplements. You take them every day, and by golly, they helped! I'm no longer homocidal, just slightly psychotic, am not in such acute pain, can cope on normal ibrobrufen painkillers, am not constipated during those few days and basically feel a lot better. I also take Vitamin B complex supplements and Omega 3+6 oils, and eat much better than I used to.

It helps a lot. I hope it helps you too ... you have my sympathy!

I get ill every month wen i have my period. It started out as just pain and head ache but now i'm actually sick. It's a pain in the **** 'cus sometimes i have to take days off college.
I don't know why this happens but it's bloody annoying. I just take neurophen and something for the sickness.
If it gets worse i'm going to the doctors, maybe you should do the same?

What you fail to say is your age, and whether or not you're using a chemical contraceptive.

If you're young (under the age of 23) and not on the pill, it's most likely being caused by hormonal fluctuations, which is pretty typical. As you get older, you will get a better regulation on the fluxes. One way to help alleviate this would be to get put on the pill.

If you ARE on the pill, it may be the pill messing with things; it might be best to consider changing brands or type (tri-phasic - 3 different pills per month vs. mono-phasic - one pill all month long).

Either way, talk to your doctor - he or she is the one that's trained to deal with this sort of thing.

i had something very similar to this before i was on birth control. my gynecologist told me that the bad feeling was from the severity of the cramps and sometimes migraines can be associated with your period. (its different for everyone). you really should talk to your gynecologist about being put on birth control, even if your not sexually active. it helped dramatically with my cramps and regulated my period. the best kind of birth control to help with cramps is the pill. I'm on estrostep and i have almost no cramps at all and no headaches. but like i said its different for everyone. your GYN. should be able to put you on the birth control that's right for your body, and give you tips on how to take care of yourself while your on so you get maximum results. hope i helped!

My period changed when I had my daughter. After having a baby I would be nauseated and cramping severely.

I talked to my doctor about the problem and I got a physical just to make sure everything was okay. She explained to me as we get older are bodies change and even after we have children. Sometimes our bodies react differently then before.

My advice is to talk to your doctor and get a check-up just to make sure that everything is okay down there. Also I noticed that when I started using my birth control, the Nuva-Ring, my cramps are not as bad as they used to be.

I had something similar happen to me. I would have terrible cramps one month, but the next month I'd barely notice them. I went to a doctor, and they said there was nothing to worry about.

sometimes people just have really bad cramps and sickness with their periods. It's not uncommon. You should talk to your doctor about it. S/he can help you feel better.
