The decision is best made between yourself and your doctor. However, for myself I prefer soft contacts to hard, especially if you're going to be very active physically. So, that's my rec, but certainly talk it over with your doctor until you are satisfied with the choice you make.

I had hard contacts for 12 years and they are great for the most part. Your vision will be much better-more crisp and defined. They only pop out if your eye is dry, so they shouldn't pop out on you. I think that only happened to me once. The drawback is that when you do get something in your eye it hurts way more than it does with a soft lens. Also, hard contacts hold the shape of your eye more than a soft lens so your vision changes less often than it could with a soft lens. Lastly, because I had hard lens for so long, they created a ridge around my eye and when I went to get Lasik surgery they couldn't do it. I had to get PRK instead and it was said to be extremely risky. But it worked and I've been without contacts for 5 years--maybe consider that instead!

Soft lenses give you less risk of falling out, and they are much more comfortable. The difference in vision between the hard and soft shouldn't be too drastic--I would go with the soft lenses.

I would recommend the soft lenses. I've worn both, and the hard ones do tend to just pop out at times. However, the soft ones, you have to be sure to take care of them properly (cleansing and such), because their slightly easier to get calcium deposits and whatnot. I wear monthly disposables, that I'm able to wear all night. I never sleep in them though.

I wear soft contact lenses but the doctor prescribed those to me - she didn't say that hard ones would be the better option. I suggest you go by what the doctor said - and possibly wear goggles? I know that may sound silly but your eyes are your best asset - and you need to protect them!

I wear hard contacts, or rigid gas permeables. You need to wear the contacts that are bestfor your vision. If the doctor suggested hard contacts I strongly suggest that you wear them. I have been wearing hard contacts for eight years, and have been able to participate in physical activity. The key for me was to keep my eyes moistened, so that the space between the cornea and the contact is wettened by my tear ducts so that there is little chance of the contacts coming out. If that does not work for you, I still suggest using the hard contacts because it will greatly help to improve your vision.

It's entirely your own decision. However, if you're going to be physically active, I suggest hard contacts. They'll stay in your eyes a lot better than soft ones. Soft ones drop out too easily.

soft lenses i think that have to be changed more often than harder ones... choose what type u like because there is little probability to drop them out of ur eye... because between the eye and the lens doesn't remain any air so it's like a sucking effect... dont worry...

I wear soft contacts. If you get hard and you rub your eyes to hard you can get them stuck in the back of your eye and have them surgectly removed. Soft are also less work.

i recommend soft contacts. even though they might help u see better, they only help a little more than soft. and if u do a lot of sports, it would be really easy to lose them. if they r soft they r easier to replace. i know all this from experience with contacts. all in all, go with soft
