everyone is entitled to have their own opinion even if it's so stupid just like gene wojciechowski's...
i strongly advice you not to believe everything you read...
with all due respect to mr. tiger woods, he is the best damn golfer ever. but as far as being the greatest athlete, i beg to disagree. for me, golf is such a boring sport that i'd rather stare at the wall than watch it...
although the game of golf requires a lot of skill and mental toughness, it doesn't display the exciting stuff that real sportsfans are looking for, like physical strength, speed, agility and stamina just to name a few...

It is quite obvious that Tiger is the best golfer,but definately not the best athlete. Look at the golfers and compare them to players in other sports. In golf,they come in all kinds of age,shape,and form. In other sports,they pretty well have to be young,and in very good shape and strength to compete with others at a professional level. Tiger just has to swing a golf club,and doesn't have to do any running,,jumping,or come into physical contact with his competitors. Compare that to what guys like Michael Jordan,Wayne Gretzky,Jerry Rice, and others have had to do in their sport. So,yes,Tiger is probably the best golfer,but definately not the best athlete.

As it stands now, Tiger is the best golfer ever. He won his 12th major title within his 10 professional years of Golf. Go Tiger, go Tiger! He can't be considered to be the best unless has played against other athletes in other sports. Now if he meant sportsman of the year, Tiger has earned that title.

Yeah, Tiger's the best golfer, but athlete, I'd have to say he's about tied with Jordan, but he's got a real good chance at becoming the best athlete ever.

f golf and tiger. How can you people even consider him an athlete. Oh wow he has to walk to a hole big woop. Try running up and down a court for 48 minutes straight or even football.
