theres some jerk on here that always has nasty questions and i dont want him to answere mine is there any way to block these types of idiots?

i have reported him three times does anyone know what yahoo answers does about it?

if i give his name toallof you he will really bother me i know when he wrote a sick question the other day all his answers back were very upset and hopefully they also reported him

There is no way we can block someone from answering our questions. Please give me the user's profile link and I will take care of it.
I hope this feature of blocking certain users comes soon to Yahoo! Answers. When you report someone, Yahoo! customer care looks at the report and if they consider is a violation they will delete the question/answer :)

When you want to I ignore someone or block them this is what you do.
When you ignore a contact, you always appear offline to the contact. They cannot view your status or send you an IM.
You must delete the contact from your Messenger List in order to ignore them.
To ignore a contact:
Click the "Messenger" menu in Yahoo! Messenger and select "Preferences."
Click the "Ignore List" category.
Select the option labeled "Ignore only the people below."
Click the "Add" button.
Enter the Yahoo ID of the contact you want to ignore.
Click the "Ignore" button.
Click "OK" at the bottom of the window.
You can ignore up to 100 contacts.
Note: To remove a contact from your Ignore List, select the ID and click the "Remove" button.
To ignore someone who is not on your Messenger List:
Click the "Messenger" menu in Yahoo! Messenger and select "Preferences."
Click the "Ignore List" category.
Select the option labeled "Ignore anyone who is not on my Messenger List."
Click "OK" at the bottom of the window.

It take a while to get someone reported off the list, there are a whole lot of questions & about half them are offensive to someone, & at lease 3 times that many answers.
There is probably one guy, in a corner basement, monitoring this forum...But, don't give up!

After about 7 to 10 violations, Yahoo! Removes their account. They deactivate it. And block anyone trying to create an account with his name.

well.. precisely.. u shud ignore the jrks!
or u just give a thumbsdown to their answers.. so that those responses r suppressed...
n lastly u can also request us(&YAT) to report them 4 abuse... giving references!!
i guess there is'nt much u can do about it!

sorry I know of no way to block them out but you can keep reporting him until he gets ban thats all we can do.

check the guidelines, for example you could get reported for this question... everyone can get reported for every question... this is chatting... so you are REPORTED

take ye shield upon thy lefte forearm and thy sworde in thy right hand. hit the ruffian upon his face with thy shield. this will block him.
