I have been dating the same guy for about 2 months now and I have a lot of male friends (some that I have had from 6+ yrs, nothing has ever happened between any of them, they are JUST FRIENDS) they call me about 1 a month to see how I am. The guy that I have been seeing says that no man should be calling his "old lady" ever. He says that if I can not deal with it then I should not be seeing him. I am not giving up my friends but I really like this guy. This may sound obvious to some people but, what should I do?

sounds like you already know the answer - stop seeing him

there is only one reason a person tries to isolate the one their with - to control. If you give up your friends, you will give up your support network.

Be careful, sometimes (not always) guys like this can be very abusive once they have you isolated, no matter how nice they seem now.

Dear Jenn,

He's a controller.

He will never change.

It's beyond me why any woman would be with a man like that, no matter how much you like him. Get away while you can.

If he wants to be with you, he will accept your friends. Jealousy is childish if you trust your partner, Don't trust your partner? Then get out.

Please, please! Do not give up your friends, whatever you do.

Tell this guy "No ultimatums!" and get rid of him!
