Yes, Sir Elton is alive and well and still writing and performing beautiful music. He will turn the big 60 next year, and has a new album due out in Sept., I believe. And he is gay and happily married to David Furnish. Good for him, he's finally found someone! Rock on, Elton!

I saw an interview with Elton John when he at first admitted being gay, saying:-"It's very hard for a gay man to come forward..."
As for still being alive, I'm sure he is. (Unless he had died VERY recently and I hadn't heard about it.)
