i use to play video games all my life and it was realy fun killing people.
But after i killed a real person, it change my whole life.
You look at things more carefully and video games is nothing like the real thing.
Trully to say, a medal isn't worth having gone through what i gone through.
I still wish i could give back medals to go back in time and not join the army

In order to play those kind of games you have to realize that it isn't real. Video games aren't something I would be worried about, its the movies getting more and more graphic, video games will always have the distinction between reality and fiction but movies are the medium that is most realistic and most gruesome (besides actual war). Video games haven't reached the point where you watch and you remember the war footage (or if you have experienced war), you just think of the game you played last night.

Good question.
This doesn't really answer your question, but I think it adds an interesting insight into the subject.
When Medal of Honor recipient Samuel Woodfill (WWI) was a very old man, (having not much discussed his experiences once the war ended) he attended a Fourth of July celebration in his home town. He reflected, "What a nice celebration. So few fireworks."
I find that very telling.

It's not always about money. I once read an article that the military was using these types of specially created games to help vets work thru their ptsd. I think the theory is that if you work thru it and experience it enough it loses the trauma to it.

Thats a hard question, my little brother plays games like that all the time, i personally hate games like that. But i guess you don't really think about if the games mean anything when your a ten year old. Once your older though and really understand right from wrong, i think games like those really are wrong. Especially when you put it in that perspective.

Medal of Honor was created with the help of those men who fought during that war...from what I heard, they were very happy with it
