I've had this same problem. I would even forget to eat and when I did remember, all I would eat is a bowl of oatmeal. Day after day. I just didn't feel like eating because everything else centered around my baby. And I was too tired. After about a month or so, I started finding ways to handle the baby and eventually I found more time to eat. So my appetite gradually picked up. I think this is normal. Having to readjust your life around the baby and having a new baby in your life is a major life change. This may even be a form of post-partum depression. I'm not sure, but eventually your appetite will pickup. Mine did and now I can't stop eating :-) I'll give it about a month or so and if it doesn't get better, you should see a doctor.

It's normal. You're body has been through a shock and needs time to get back in the swing of things. I still had morning sickness for about 2 weeks after I gave birth.

you need to eat a little more.. what does your doctor say? Your body has gone through such trauma (giving birth), all the organs are trying to get back to normal. But you need nutrients to help your body to heal and milk for your baby. You should get checked to rule out any physical problems. Make sure it's not a your mental block of don't want to keep the baby weight.

I am not sure what is "normal" according to the doctors, but I had the same problem after the birth of my child. I lost about 30lbs in two weeks, but then my appetite came back... don't worry you'll get back to normal eating - eventually! :)

it could be a huge problem if you are breastfeeding... but if not... im sure you are fine. I had the same problem.... my baby is now 3 weeks old and i still havent gotten my appetite back. just snack on little thing here and there and keep taking your prenatals. just been through a life changing thing, and probably exahasted and maybe a litttle self concious about how your body looks now. just stay healthy... at least your not just eating junk food! :)

I never understood those bimbos that would say stupid things like "sometimes I just forget to eat"...that is until after I had my baby. I could say that it was lack of sleep, lack of energy, spending most of my time trying to nurse my newborn, but the strange thing was - I wasn't hungry either. If you're that concerned though, put in a call to your OB.

I was RAVINOUS after I gave birth.
My MIL said that I ate more postpartum than she'd ever seen me eat.

You need to contact your doctor. Are you breast feeding? You need healthy food for you and your baby. Even if you are not nursing, you need to keep yourself healthy to care for you child. Take care and God Bless.
