They're made by different companies and have some different features because of that.
My problem with IE was that it constantly crashed/froze. I started using Firefox because nothing seemed to fix IE and I don't have the same problem with FF, so I think it's better, at least for me!

I prefer Firefox over IE mainly because Firefox is a highly customizable application.

They are both good web browsers, but Firefox is a better program in my opinion. Plus, Firefox has tabbed browsing which makes having multiple pages open at one time a lot easier.

If Firefox crashes, you just have to reload Firefox. If IE crashes, you have to completely reload windows.

IE is by The Evil Empire (Microsoft) and crashes all the time.
Firefox isn't and doesn't.

I prefer Firefox just because it doesn't need a "patch" every week,,it's just written better,,:-)=
