My roommate took winter quarter off (for personal reasons) of college and left her laptop computer behind. I borrowed it and somehow cracked the screen on it. I threw it back into her room and said nothing. When she came back that spring she didn't notice it at first (she wasn't very studious) and one night she dusted it off and pulled it out. She made a big hissy fit about it because she claimed it contained "very important research" (which was bull$h!t). There were six of us living in the house and she couldn't blame any of us because as far as she knew, she broke it before she left. I felt guilty briefly but she was the most irresponsible person in the world. She was also one of those roommates that would just go into your room and "borrow" stuff and often she wouldn't return it. I found one of my sweaters buried in her closet, sprayed with her cat's pee.

oh yes just a couple weeks ago I was driving my dads truck and flattened two tires...it was a joy. had them replaced and didn't tell him just waiting for that discovery.
Also borrowed my brothers truck, notice a theme yet? well I wrecked it well more like mangled it over ten grand worth paid the five hundred deductible and his insurance rate hike every six months and bought him a new bed liner he is still pissed. guess it had something to do with it being only six months old.
the list goes on and on.....

I broke the back off of a expensive dining room chair when I leaned back..I didn't know what to do,so I tried to put on top of the cracked chair and lucky they said not to worry about it..needless to say, I was never invited back. I laugh at it now though!

"You break you buy".
I have broken something in a store that then becmase mine. It was some stupid china doll statue thingy. I think they put it close to the edge becuase nobody would buy that crappy thing. I bumped the display just barely and crash!. A good way to sell if you own the store...

I don't even know what it is called, or even what it *is*.....but a few weeks ago at work i broke.....well, *something*. I told them about it right away, and it wasn't a valuable artifact, or anything anyone else even knew was *there*.....but i still feel bad about breaking it. Whatever it is.

Yes. A few things in my childhood. As an adult, I broke a china teacup that was irreplaceable. I felt awful. I offered her money for it but, she refused so, I just apologized profusely.
