Mine has a thing about parking. He has a works van & his wife has a car. If he can't get them parked exactly outside his livingroom window he gets very nervous. The second someone moves he rushes out & moves his car/van closer. This can happen several times in an evening until he finally gets it parked where he wants it.
The result is that now another neighbour has started parking 4 or 5 feet from the car in front just to p*ss him off. Problem about that is that there is nowhere for anyone else. I usually end up parked on the pavement.

Next door we have a lovely old man who is blind, we go sit with him for an hour each everyday to read him the local paper and just to chat to him, the ones at the other side are really odd and make so much noise you have to have a permanent supply of headache pills, most of our neighbours are OK I suppose.

My neighbors, when there ARE any, are ALWAYS strange!
There were some lesbian girls who suntanned nude on their roof, in plain view of everybody.
And the witch who called the police repeatedly on everyone on our street, mostly about loud music or barking dogs.
The funniest was our neighbor who got roaring drunk and went outside at 3:00 a.m. and sang Elvis' "Blue Christmas" with a Mr. Microphone! It was dead quiet outside and his voice echoed. It was hilarious.
His wife came out and loudly demanded that he "Get in this house, NOW!"

Yes, we have the village idiot living next door to us, drunk most of the time, steals everything that's not tied down. If he had brains he would be dangerous, he is the only guy who signed the back of a stolen cheque, with his own name and address!

Yes.
I have the cat lady 3 doors down who got mad at my ex-roommate when she saved one of the cats.
The bitter, sad, old, pack rat, reclusive ex-lawyer who freaked out on us when we put a John Kerry sign in our window and called us "f-ing renters" and "swinging singles" who should "move to a compound." And who cussed me out when we were playing Dance Dance Revolution at 4:00 in the afternoon.
Then there was the OCD lady who would check her locks a dozen times and sometimes she would mess up and have to start over. It was really really sad. She died though...
