I find people in south more freindly and places elsewhere in US more modern than North East. Why is that and will it ever change? Should I move elsewhere or should I stay in North East?

I do a lot of hiking, biking, skiing and boating and eat out and still feel bored...
Been to Virginia, Florida, Baltimore, Okkalahoma and find more interesting there...friendly people, nice and new buildings, nice landscaping...etc....feel so fresh and young elsewhere and so old fashioned in upstate NY...

I love the north east, the only reasons i like the northeast more then the south is because the northeast has snow and I dont like southeren accents they sound just so weird to me. I find plenty of things to do here, but its probably cause I grew up here and there are 3 lakes in 20 minutes or less away from where I live and Lake George Village is like 5 minutes away and its so fun there

Yea, the south is really friendly, all right. The south had a culture of slavery. How friendly is that?!? Enslaving your fellow man has to be about the rudest and most unfriendly act committed by people.

In 1860, there were 6.4 million free people and 3.7 million slaves living in the south. That is one slave for every 1.7 free people! Incredibly unfriendly. Unless southern mentalities regarding their fellow man have changed 180 degrees (unlikely), the south is extremely unfriendly.

Depends where you are. There are many things to do in the Northeast. I found the South boring and the people too snotty. I grew up there.
