One of the issues surrounding this topic is the supposed right of a woman to chose what to do with her body. Around half of all abortions, or many more in countries like India and China, are done on female children. What about their rights to chose? It seems evident to me that more than one individuals choice is at stake. And I severely doubt many to any of these children would chose death over life as it is a natural instinct to want to live.

maeknits, so you do draw the line somewhere? If you draw the line at abortion when it comes to choosing the sex where else do you draw the line and why?

hotmamma, I think you missed the theme of my question. Try reading a little more slowly. Sometimes I miss things too.

That's why in the United States, the man who gets the little girl pregnant is also convicted as a sexual offender.

And for little girls who are getting pregnant in other countries, when they are too young to be having sex - it's up to those countries of what to do with their children.

We need to concentrate on our own children, our own country. We have enough reform left to do.

I think a woman should have the right to choose, but she should not be picking the sex of the baby, etc. It seems like pretty soon people will be designing their own babies.
