It is possible you two have had separate experiences in life that will allow you to move beyond the differences you had in the past. If you have kept in touch all along, and gotten along well all along, it is worth a try if it is something you both want.

"Deep down inside, the both of you know that you are meant to be together." This is a romantic fantasy, not reality. You need to step back and use your brains. Yes, it is possible that this relationship can work, but relationships take hard work and commitment. Intense feelings can't keep a relationship going for very long.

What are the things that have pushed you apart in the past? Can those things be overcome? With a divorce and two kids in the mix, now there are further difficulties. How will you handle them?

Think. Evaluate. Plan. Use your brain not your passion to make a rational decision.

Good luck with that, there is no way it will work. You said it yourself, love/hate. There is no perfect relationship, but still, you would only be setting youself for a disaster. If you have a child together just keep it friends. Do you really want to put your kid through a possible divorce? If you don't then just move on, there is no meant to be together. It's all about finding who you are the happiest with, not some fairytale story or sappy movie ending.

probably not. Maybe you should try to find someone else, it would make you much more happier and keep your mind off of him.
