This is insufficient information. However, these are easy tricks everyone should do to keep the computer running top notch:
1. Make sure that there are no programs in the startup which you do not use. Softwares like Quicktime, Adobe and all messengers by default add themselves to the startup group. You can change most by doing: Start > Run > msconfig and select the programs you need at startup and uncheck rest all. In case of doubt, just google the DLL or exe name or you can find details about them on www.liuutilities.com
2. iTunes, for example, starts a couple of services which you may not need for automatic startup. You can see what services are automatic by doing: Start > Run > services.msc and stop un-required services and change their startup to manual from automatic.
3. Use software like spybot to keep adware and spyware at bay.
4. Switch to Firefox/Opera browser. That's a lot safer.
5. Check machine configuration. It may be deficient on RAM.
Good luck.

First of all we need to make sure few thing ok?
We need to know itf u been to some adult site or any illegal sites.
If u did iam sure that its some kind of maleware...
So if thats the case we need to check if theres any present in ur PC...
If u cant afford and antivirus for ur PC,plz feel free to download the latest antivirus from my forum for free...i suggest avast cuz its the one i use and everytime a single virus tries to get in it stops and alarms me..Its kool.
Second we need to check the registry..
For that u need a software called registry repair kit 2006..
Install it and use its components like defrag reg for much spacious and faster HDD..
After all these are done we need to make sure there is no unused software or anything in ur pc..if theres a file that has no use for u other than the XP files.lol....delete it....If theres any antivirus that is already installed on ur pc plz make sure that it was made in 2006 if not uninstall it and get the latest from my site

If theres norton antivirus installed uninstall it right now...that is the worst antivirus in the world....
Plz do make sure everything is done as said above and hope that it will do it..
And if that doesnt we have to uninstall ur modem driver and connection and reboot ur pc then reintall the connection and driver again....Plz do make sure there no damage to ur modem or cable (no need for wireless)...

It could be all sorts of things but guess is spyware or some sort of bug in it, try running spybot search and destroy its free and works pretty well. Do you have antispyware and antivirus now? If not get some good ones to prevent this. I have had some bugs where i have had to wipe the hard drive.

Sound like AD or SPYWARE run a scan if it's clean then you may be running to many programmes with not enough RAM to spare.
