Oli-vi-ay would be the french pronunciation. Based on the fact that some pronounce Cartier CAR-she-ay and others say car-TEER, I'm guessing the alternative pronunciation of Olivier is OL-i-veer.

It's definitly the latter pronunciation of oli-vi-ay. Their was a legendary actor by the name of Lawrence Olivier, and thats how his last name is correctly pronounced.

Well, in the case of Sir Laurence Olivier, it's Oli-vi-ay, so that's how I've always said it. I would assume that's the correct pronounciation for it, anyway.
