I am the mother of a 10 year old boy that loves sports and is very athletic, but doesn't seem to put his whole heart into what he is doing. How can I help him focus more on whatever he is involved in?

my brother has a hard time focusing and he is 11 going on 12. i think he just needs some convincing. maybe some sort of reward or talk to him about why he should focus more.

I know this is going to sound mean but I would leave him alone. Sometimes kids act so strange and it isn't anything major, they are just becoming this little person and they need there space. I am not saying just throw him out there and say "good luck buddy!". He still needs guidance from you but I would let him show you what he wants to do. You sound like a great mom, and I hope I did not offend you. Good luck with your little man:)

we changed our life style and eating/sleeping habits recently.

The side effect was this very thing. Everybody had better atttention to detail and sleep better. We also drink Spark, its a nutritional suppliment that is safe for kids too. It really makes the difference.

Good luck
