Why? He's only following the letter of the law, and that's his job.
In his opinion, and also that of his fellow umpire, the ball had been tampered with. Pakistan are entitled to disagree with that, but the time and place to make their point heard is AFTER the match..not during it. By refusing to return after tea, they believed they were making a point...but thats not for the umpire to judge. All he can do is ask them to return, and if they dont... then they forfeit the game. Those are the rules, and it was Hair's job to make sure they are followed.

Yes. He should be banned from umpiring because this is not the first time he disrupted the game by doing things he shouldn't have done and all the things he has done is for the Asian player's and country's

isnt there a code of conduct for the umpires?? he shud be banned, and if not, then he shudnt be appointed as an umpire for any match involving asians... bloody racist.

Ofcourse...this isnt the first time he has been partial...you must remember that incident with Murali....ICC havent taken any action against him only because he is their employee...if they dont back Hair then other umpires may feel insecure...Imran Khan has already described him as the Hitler of cricket....the whole world hates him....so why are they waiting...

then the umpires will be bad as Pakistani umpires he called it as he saw it, if Pakistan was innocent it would be easy to prove show the ball to the ICC see how they haven't?

why umpiring? he should be banned for life from everything if he has no respect for subcontinent nations, which are the beginning of the world.....
u may say he's following law of cricket. but see his past records, they show he is zealous of subcontinent nations like India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Srilanka, etc.....

I think so.
Read about him on wikipedia, he is notorious for so many controversial things. In his biography, He compared Murali with Satan. I think he is a racist. umpires like him should be banned.
