No actual cure as such but you can help the symptoms by staying clear of things like beer and dairy products and by drinking plenty of water.
If it gets too painful apart from the usual anti inflammatory like Ibuprofen your doctor could start you on a course of injections but you can only have these for short bursts as the steroids thin the bones out and you could stand the risk of osteoporosis setting in.
Swimming and exercises do help my husband plays badminton and whilst he still suffers the pain he swears that it is not so painful after he exercises.
I hope that you will soon be feeling a whole heap better. There's nothing like constant pain to drag you down.

There is research into diet that primarily relates to having an alkaline diet to control the symptoms. Not sure how effective this is but diet is possibly a key to relief - that and smoking marijuana!

I heard that a teaspoon of dried chicken cartilage a day will help tons. tried it when I broke my wrists and I have no problems in the winter at all

there is but its expensive, the NHS will not do it.
Glucosamine is wonderful. Especially with "chondroitin"
I'm assuming you mean OSTEO arthritis...?
