I believe it to be a hoax.

I believe it- the flag looks the way it does because there is no oxygen. It has nothing to do with the presence of wind and everything to do with being in the vacuum of space. The flag doesn't wave like it does on the flagpole down the street. If it did- then I would have some concerns. But to actually make the whole thing up and film it on a sound stage somewhere is difficult to believe since they didn't even have the special effects technology back then. And what would be the point of making it up? What would the government or any other organization have to benefit from that? Nothing that I can figure. And conspiracies are very hard to keep secret especially when there are a lot of people involved. Someone is always bound to talk- that's human nature.
A few years ago Buzz Aldrin was confronted by one of the conspiracy theorists claiming that Buzz had never been on the moon. If that were true, Buzz wouldn't have responded by popping the guy- that could only happen if he was really there. I'd be offended too!

Well first the flag never waves due to wind.

It waves when he moves the pole and we all know by Newton that each action has an opposite and equal reaction.

Move a flag pole and what happens, flag moves. All those so called clips, movies on how its a fake landing play on items that most people don't realize is normal.

Like why you don't see stars in the background? Well any camera person can tell you due to the lack of light and focus on the camera of that time, it wouldn't of picked them up to begin with.

They also state that there is like no dust blown out from under the space ship as it lands but you can look back at true footage and clearly see at least 7 inches of dust get blown away as she lands. These so called clips you see out there have been altered many times over.

The fact that the other astronaunt did running, jumping, motion tests proves he was in weightless environment. No rig or strings could of produced the movements he was doing.

Let alone....if we didn't go there....how did a laser mirror get on the surface that we use to measure how far the moon is from us? How do we know the moon is moving away from us at 1.4 inches per year without this laser mirror? You can go to any planetarium and look through a telescope and see the mirror on the surface along with other items we left there.

Pretty good trick if we just launched stuff there to view from a telescope later.

You are correct in that the Earth's moon has no atmosphere. However, you are incorrect with the notion that the American flag isn't blowing in the wind. It has a wire frame supporting it so that it can be displayed properly.

Personally, whether or not man landed on the moon in 1969 has no bearing on the bills I have to pay nor the life I lead.

I've better thinks to think about.

But to answer your question, yes. I believe the moon landing in 1969 (and those following) did actually occur.

I, for one did watch the landing and it was momentous. One thing most of the people who claim it's a hoax never seem to bring up is the fact that the Saturn 5 rocket that propelled the astronauts into space did indeed launch. I doubt that even NASA could fake a rocket launch. And if they didn't go to the Moon on that mission, where did they go. And how could they keep all this secret from the whole world. To fake some thing like this would involve not only NASA but all the media covering the event. Not to mention fooling the Soviets who were monitoring the Moon launch. So YES, it really happened.

I have seen the shows, on cable, "debunking" the moon landing. All I can say is, I watched the covereage at the time, and I never doubted it for a minute. I still don't. Um, the flag was MADE to look that way, so that the starts and stripes could be seen; no one ever claimed it was "blowing in the wind."

I have to agree with the post-er who said space exploration is a waste, though. I would prefer my tax dollars going to someone or something of more use than NASA.

Tyler - i'm no longer able to start to inform you the way many 1000's - no 1000's - of folk are available this dialogue board and say issues like "somebody advised me the moon landing replaced into pretend" or the classic "I observed data on the cyber web that we on no account landed on the moon." 1000's. None of those human beings has adequate information of physics, history, orbital mechanics, photos, or elementary technological awareness to formulate a rational argument. they only say that somebody advised them some thing or they observed it on that super magazine of medical information - the internet. Please do no longer connect the ranks of the ignorant. pass look it up for your self, and that i do no longer recommend on the cyber web. Do your homework. The Apollo missions have been plenty greater clever documented than the present series of Mars landers. Do you think approximately those to be pretend? ask your self "How would desire to all those 1000's of those that labored on the Apollo software be a piece of this conspiracy?" the government has an enormously complicated time preserving actual secrets and methods; this could have been impossible. i replaced into status interior the clicking section 3 miles away while the Apollo 17 replaced into released interior the direction of the night. it rather is totally unlucky which you weren't there. That replaced into no suborbital vehicle. It replaced into like a 35 tale development getting up and flying away. It lit up the sky like sunlight hours and shook the air. i assume the teachers right this moment have not got a sturdy way of conveying the point of delight that pervaded the entire international throughout the time of those missions. Too undesirable. further: via the way, the different guy on Apollo 11 replaced into Michael Collins. He stayed in orbit at the same time as Armstrong and Aldrin descended to the lunar floor. He replaced into their fee ticket abode.

I watched it live as it happened in 1969, & I believed it to be true then, as I do today. If you saw the pretty convincing video that I did that supports an actual Lunar landing you would have seen that the flag is stiffened in some way to keep it stretched out, obviously because it would lie limp & no one would see it's the flag.

Ummm...hey rocket scientist...the flag was spring loaded because there is no wind on the moon...you think they would put up a flag that would just droop?? I saw it pop open when I watched them land & walk on the moon. Okay, I was watching on TV, & I was only 10 or so, but I do remember that! They can also see the stuff they left from the telescopes in space...
wake up, this is the 21st century....

HOO BOY
1. The Flag is supported by a bar. DUH
2. The atmosphere on the moon is a vacuum.
3. You've NEVER seen the video of one of the astronauts dropping a feather and a bowling ball simultaneously, the fall at the same rate, as in a vacuum.
