Did you leave them in the washer too long? If you did, then rewash using oxy clean. It helps to not leave them wet in the pile or in the washer.

I use vinegar for foul smelling laundry. Put a half cup of it into the wash and your favorite detergent - don't add anything else. Don't use bleach as it will make some type of gas. That certainly would not be healthy for you. If the smell remains somehow, then repeat. This should do the trick. Also, when you go to dry the towels, use a softener sheet in the dryer. This also will enhance a lovely fragrance for the towels. If it doesn't, then it is time to throw them away. I wish you well. Remember this, "If God be for us, who can be against us?" - Romans 8:31.

1. use a fabric conditioner but then ensure that you dry the towels really well before storing (either tumble dry or leave out in an airy place for a couple of days)
2. When you shower and dry yourself with the towel, do not put it immediately in the laundry basket (moist and wet) and then take it out when you are going to launder them, but after you use the towel to dry yourself, hang it out somewhere in the shower for a couple of hours, and put it in the laundry basket e.g. the following morning. This means that the towel is dry (or dryer) when you put it away in the laundry basket and it will not sour.

A cheap solution is to add a cap full of pine sol into the laundry load and it will get out the musty smell from clothes either left in the washer too long, or putting them in the hamper when they're wet!!! Don't! thats what towel racks are for!

I had the right same subject concerns with my husbands undershirts. It took me a together as to even decide what the concern become. the final straw become that I had a load of freshly bleached and washed whites in a laundry basket and left them in one day and tremendously much each element interior the basket became "contaminated" via what smelled like male cat urine. i presumed a cat become sneaking interior the abode some how. That day my husband placed his arm around me and HOLY SH**!! there become the smell!!. Relieved that I had discovered the perpetrator, I immediately threw away all undershirts and offered 30 new ones (I rotate staple outfits after each load of laundry). We went on a hunt for brand spanking new deodorant and oddly sufficient what works the final for him is my Dove. We additionally replaced our cleansing soap and we use solely Ivory now. it extremely is all greater helpful in the meanwhile, yet i think of that once a together as that what ever is closest to their "physique" will ultimately start to sniff lower back, yet i think of the adjustments we made and making optimistic to rotate out the undershirts greater often for brand spanking new ones is truthfully the foremost. on your towels i might try vinegar and bleach (if plausible) OxyClean and no fabric softener. My husband's undershirts have been much less costly to interchange (and it become time besides) yet towels can get so plenty greater costly)

Add some ammonia (1/2 to 1 cup) to the washer along with your laundry soap. That will get rid of the bacteria that is making them smell.
Make sure you take them out and put them in the dryer in the future as soon as the washer stops. When you leave clothes in the washer too long after they're done washing, they will start to smell funny.
good luck :-)

Washing them again in the laundry with a good laundry liquid like tide and a fabric softener will usually remove most stink bugs. Drying it in the hot sun would yield good results also.

Next time you wash your towels put baking soda in with your towels or you use Fabreze for your laundry it's in the laundry isle and you can get the kind that is just for your laundry. But try the baking soda first.

Wash them in Gain and put them in the dryer or hang them on a clothes line immediately when through washing. Don't leave them sitting in the washer, that's what causes the sour smell.

Wash them in hot water with detergent and add a cup of good ole white vinegar. It's the best laundry additive around.

Use some bleach. The problem is most likely due to mold / mildews.
If your towels are tinted with a deep color, you might try vinegar, or maybe a color-safe dry or powdered bleach product instead.
