I completely agree with you! Why in the world would they put all this time & effort into protesting here when they should be spending all that energy on making their own country better. I'm sorry, but it is hipocryitcal that people come here to America but then cover their cars, houses, and tatoo themselves with pictures of the Mexican flag like the are so proud of their country. If you are that proud of it then stand up and fight to make it a better place instead of running away and then pretending that you have pride. I also think it's a big slap in the face to all of the immigrants who came into this country legally. If people aren't willing to follow the rules and appropriate channels that are involved in becoming a citizen then why in the world should they be rewarded for their illegal actions? It's rewarding laziness and disrespect as far as I'm concerned. I have no problem with anyone who wants to live in America, as long as they do it the right way. Anyone who isn't willing to put the time & effort into it doesn't deserve to be here.

It didn't piss me off per say, it was a little odd. I do understand the reasons why they would want to come to The States, but I don't get how they are going to march and protest here rather than in their own country, that has always baffled me. I mean The States can definitely help them by letting them in, but I think that the best way for Mexicans to thrive is if we help them clean up their own country. There is no reason for their neighbor to be so great yet they live in 3rd world conditions... that baffles me as well.

Yes. Gotta think that the Dems are behind it to get another generation of pinkos to vote for them by extending rights that no non-citizen actually has under the Constitution. It's a conspiracy plain and simple. The high-up leaders in Mexico are all a bunch of crooks too. I feel sad for the legal immigrants from Mexico and Central/South America because I'm sure a lot are bashing them too despite their honorable actions. I am in favor of legal immigration and if I had my choice I'd have all the illegals deported. In France they are so strict. Try moving there without a job or a lot of money; try to get a job there once in. It's time for the U.S. to stand tall and fight.

An article in "Newsweek" recently pointed out the disparity between the Mexican government's stand on trespassing of it's citizens into the U.S., and their own treatment of illegal aliens trying to cross their country's southern border from Central America. They are remarkably hypocritical. Perhaps their long-term goal is to repatriate the Southwest, with a view to eventually reclaiming it; it was part of Mexico until the 1830's.

Yes they piss me off too. What we all forget is that they're illegal, not suppose to be here! They have no rights in the US. They're not a minority protesting for civil rights, they are criminals that think they don't have to obey the law and we should feel sorry for them. It's like a bunch Of drug dealers protesting for the right to sell drugs. Why can't our cowardly politicians get off their butts and do something. I'm voting them all out this November!

Because they can't protest in their own country. The police beat the crap out of them for it. And yes, it did annoy me. But they didn't riot, and they didn't destroy anything, and they had their day in front of the press. Sounds like a fair exchange.
Go after the employers. They are the ones that need to pay for all this crap, not the immigrants. they are getting used.

Yes it pissed me off! I agree with everything you say! How dare they try and boycott buying things here! What the heck is wrong with them? They come over here and live off OUR tax dollars and then demand rights? It's CRAP! Totally disrespectful! I love your saying that they should go and protest against their own country for being crappy and corrupt.......its true, that is where they should be bitching! Not here!!!!

Yes, it upset plenty of Americans. Not just those of us whose families have been here for generations, but new and legal immigrants were upset. So were thousands of people who are here legally and going through the unbelievable bureaucratic nightmare of getting a green card and citizenship.

WELL, our gov't is at fault for allowing that to happen. not only that. special services are being implemented for them and medical insurance of their children are provided, etc. it really is something that's being sanctioned by the gov't because they are provideing cheap labor and paying taxes through purchases! it does seem odd...that there are protests and marches for "rights," when they are illegal immigarants

I've seen a lot of americans protesting along with them. here in chicago. there was a small protest, and it was all white american people, protesting for immigrant rights. during a protes here in chicago, there was american citizens, mostly white, cheering them on and clapping for them! i don't know why you white people are racist. you're ruining it for the rest of the us whites who aren't!
