No countries should be developing nuclear weapons.

Most will agree that we should attempt to do all that we can to prevent a terrorist nation from developing nuclear weapons. However, I can see both sides of this argument. What gives the USA the right to tell other countries what they can and cannot do?
We have quite a dilemma on our hands here.
The reality though is once Bush is out of office, if we elect a conservative president, I'm sure he/she would do what is necessary to prevent development of a weapon of mass destruction.
However, if our country is so mad at Bush that we elect a liberal president, I would be truly concerned that a liberal would try to placate, cajole, appease, talk, negotiate with a terrorist sponsoring country to prevent them from developing a nuclear weapon. These terror nations are not dumb. They will get all they can from a liberal USA government and still develop their weapon.

Well, we can either stop them from developing them or deal with the consequences when they launch them at us, at which point it will be a bit late for those in the area that it hits.

Yes we should stop them as early as possible. If we wait till they point it at us and hit the launch button it will be too late.
