I got my steroid shots at 30 weeks, I am presently 33w 5d pregnant.
The shots for some can be given really early if they are threatened pre-term. I received them for that reason. So far still going strong in my pregnancy with no further issues.
Baby will come when baby wants to.

A friend of mine, was pregnant at 32 weeks. She kept going into labor. At 34 weeks, they gave her the steriod shots for the baby's lungs, and induced full labor 24 hours later. She now has a very healthy baby boy!

I was given a steroid shot and I had her at 38 weeks...we thought she was gonna come out at 34 because I thought I was leaking fluid as a precaution they gave me the shot. She is a healthy active 4 year old now.

i'm very sorry to hearken to that. stay good on your sister-in-regulation. Your help is a staggering present. I easily have not dealt with this project myself yet continuously theory that once they administer a steriod shot to the child's lungs that is to prepare them for respiration outdoors of the womb on their lonesome. they ought to have some inclination that this infant will be right here early for them to be doing that. with any success no longer at present yet likely quickly!

My wife got it at 31 weeks and my son was born about a week later. Emergency C section. He is fine, he has some very minor issues when he is sick. But no other lingering effects of being a premie.

yes my daughter had them with her twins and she did fine! she carried them for 8 months and did all things right except for smoking once awhile and now they have lungs problems themselves but healthy and then the day after they were born she had a pace maker put in her but at one time when she was 16 her heart beated up to 270 times a minute so she had heart problems prior to her babies. she is 27 years old.we believe in steroid shot my husband and i when we get sick we ask out doctor for steroid shots to help us get over our sickness they are great helpers of flu etc.
