there is a NON-GENERIC prenatal vitamin out there that is prescription only. i cant remember the name of it but it was prescribed to me with my first daughter. it was the only prenatal that didnt make me sick. i cannot remember the name of it, but i remember that they marketed it around its color which was purple (and no i am not thinking of nexium-the purple pill) any help would be great. also i am in a different state before, and haven't seen the doctors yet, still working on conceiving, just want to be able to provide the exact name.

The OTC ones are in basic terms as good because of the fact the prescribed ones. The OTC ones have each and all of the supplementations which you and toddler %. The prescribed ones frequently have somewhat greater supplementations in them. So the two way your good. i'm getting the only an afternoon prenatal supplementations, $13 for a month furnish. You might be thinking of this - http://www.precareprenatal.com/ (also see company website at http://www.ther-rx.com/products/prenatals.asp) . You should check with your doctor (once you become pregnant). If you eat a balanced diet with plentry green leafy vegetables, there is often no need for prenatal vitamins. Instead, your doctor may choose to suggest you take specific vitamins if your tests show you need them (such as iron if you become anaemic). Good luck

No idea, but if your new doctor doesn't know this, then you need to find another doctor. Also there is gummy bear type prenatal vitamins that usually don't make people sick.

Not sure what the name of that one is, but thought I'd add that a lot of moms who can't stand their PNV's do well by taking 2 children's chewables instead. I did this with all three of my pregnancies.
