n something very scary to say the least : how many of you think that there is already a far superior alien civilization keeping an eye on us and planning the political and international situation in our world so that we humans keep on fighting and killing eachother resulting in orientation of our civilization as they(the aliens) want it to be...

How could it not? And what makes you think that it hasn't already? If the alien life form is truly superior, what could make us think that their methods of enlightening us would be obvious, or in any way what we would expect? If they studied humanity at all, they'd have to learn right off the bat that humans resist change; that we often buck the system if change is demanded or expected of us, and that a good portion of us hate being taught anything, period. Wouldn't the simplest way to teach us, be a gradual method that we never saw coming, that seemed to be the natural changes that come with the passing of time? Change our value systems, our education systems, our moral codes; make us question our governments, doubt our gods, and disrupt our monetary basis - and do all of these things in a slow manner, starting small and allowing things to grow or get out of hand. Wouldn't this seem like a natural progression? They'd have to change the way we think and what we expect the norm to be; so what makes you think we're not already being prepared for them to eventually reveal themselves?

So, having said that, I think I'll remove the hayseed from my teeth, finish my corndog and go feed the pigs.

Grin.

This is a very leading question. You're basically asking "If we meet someone or something completely different from what we supposed to be out there that contradicts our beliefs, will we change our beliefs?" Well, duh ... of course. If, on the other hand, the aliens look remarkably like human beings, except for funny thing on their forehead (like on Star Trek), and everything they bring along corresponds to something familiar, but with an extraterrestial adjective qualifying it ("Here, human, try some of our Saurian brandy"), then I suppose we'll just say, "Hey, these guy's aren't so weird".

The problem is we are not at a level to understand other forms of life as a public at this point in human development, and I’m sure the aliens know then it’s why they don’t show them self’s openly to us humans.

Think about it, what every one hopes… aliens come here and cure all our illnesses, sounds good but think about the effect it would have on our economy? Our own progress and development? It would in short destroy all man kind in the long run… on top of that we have nothing to bargen with… “Here we will trade you for some worthless gold”

Any sufficiently-advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic. I imagine that if we encounter beings with as much power and knowledge that you describe, it's likely that we will treat them as gods. World leaders will become meaningless - who cares who 's the President of America when the aliens can make America disappear in the blink of an eye? And religious fanatics will have a field day trying to reconcile the appearance of these powerful extraterrestrials with their own beliefs.

If we ever encounter Alien Life forms our views will be changed forever. If the aliens are more advanced than us it will change our beliefs as well.

Any truly intelligent alien life forms will avoid humanity like the plague until our views of life, belief, and existence become less hostile on their own. :-)

For most people it would. For some, (conspiracy theory nuts) they would claim that NASA faked it.

I suppose that some religious types they would call them Gods or Devils.

I want one that looks like this..........
