There is nothing correct about being political. It's time we all went back to the basics and tell them that set these stupid rules to shove it up their a**es.

I don't hate political correctness so much as it upsets me that some people just don't have much public decency and need to be reminded that the words they use to label people are often insensitive, incorrect or inappropriate. I'm glad that for the most part, people don't just come up to me and say, "are you a jap or a chink?" (happened a lot when I lived in a small town) and assume that it's normal to talk like that. The problem is that people like to put a label on anyone who isn't like them, and then the general public, having heard these labels, isn't always sure what's appropriate and what is not. Then you have these same people who have been labeled come out against it, with a name they would prefer instead. So really it's just a process of education, a very confusing, often frustrating, often long one. And, by the way, "spineless bleeding heart liberal", is not the pc term, but if that's the label I get for asking for human decency then I'll gladly wear it.

II have no problem calling a Black man what he wants to be called, it's when you can't talk about real problems, that need to be addressed, that is what bothers me. .America is in chaos and we do not hear the issue's being addressed.
There are a lot of things that need to be fixed. Our country is supposedly giving grants to Muslims so they can come here and buy business. They also do not have to pay taxes on these, and this is not right. This needs to be addressed. If you have money to give away, Uncle Sam, give it to some of our citizens that have lost their jobs to outsourcing. ---------------This is the talk on the street, If any of this information is incorrect please address it here.
Both Mexico and the United States are run by people in power who do not have the good of the common man at heart. Throw out those that are crooks in both governments, stop the free hand outs to illegal immigrants. Set up a fair economic system in South America so that they can compete on an even field. Let them prosper at home and stop paying them to cross our borders. What a joke? The Politicians say that they are trying to stop the overflow and yet they are paying what amounts to great wealth to the ones who cross the river.
Stop the Socialism. The act of raising our insurance premium till it takes all of our income, this is no different than the 60% tax for free medicine in Europe. The end result of Socialism is that each one of us will have just one set of Gray pajamas to wear, while we eat our one piece of bead a day. This is just one of many things that are being pushed on us without even as much as an open discussion.
I had a Doctor tell me that he had someone come in to see him that had knee problems, the doctor prescribed exercise. The next time he sees them they are riding on a Hover round that some other Doctor had prescribed. He said that it not only was a waste but the setting down was the worst thing that they could do for themselves.
I will just quit, no one is listening anyway.
One more thing. Spike Lee's 4 hour special on hurricane Katrina has nothing in it, but the residents of New Orleans talking about the lack of involvement of the federal government. By his own admission it is 4 hours of blasting President Bush. This is inflammatory and it is racial. It's only motive is to anger and motivate Black people to vote for the Democratic ticket. Please tell me that the Black man is smarter than that.
Oh man............................

there is a difference between being polite and being disrespectful.
example:
If you are referring to "african-americans" as "black" people I dont think that is a problem
However if you are using more insulting terms then its a problem
I think the political correctness topic has been blown a bit out of proportion. Just be respectful and you shouldnt get into trouble.

i do not agree. party: a guy wears basically shorts and walks through a structure website; does he get whistled at? no. So, if it occurs to a woman that is sexism. She is being dealt with like an merchandise rather of someone. If she is indignant, then that is her decision. honestly, in case you're taking care of others with note of and interest, then most of the topic matters you cite would not take position. yet, human beings do no longer take care of one yet another properly. for this reason, more desirable regulations come into play because human beings act improperly.

Political correctness is just a way for the spineless bleeding heart liberals to express their lame, wimpy agendas on people who express themselves honestly.
Say whatever you want, and stop worrying about that "group" of people who want to try to force you to be like them.

I take the position that it doesn't exist. I ignore it. What right does someone have to tell me what is correct or incorrect to say? The Constitution doesn't give anyone that right. Tell them to stick it where the sun don't shine!

It drives me up a wall too!
But because I'm going to be working in the corporate world, I know I have to play by their rules, and that means being careful about what I say and how I say it.

Absolutely! It's gotten to the point of ridiculous when everyone (especially the liberal media) is so afraid they might annoy or offend that they start changing the rules to please everyone else. It sure helps keep the lawyers busy!
