How do you hold tight on to your dream and not intterupted by the surroundings, fear, hurt, anything?
I found that I often forget my goal, my learned lessons, my grip, simply the beliefs that build me up as who I once proudly was.
I feel so painfully weak and stuck in this faithful-faithless circle. I wanted change but I never ceased disappointing myself.
Do you have any way/practical techiniques to improve it?
Thanks so much really for comments. I feel this is a hard question...

Thank you all for the insights and suggestions. I learned and am reminded a lot of lessons.
I have to consider "the effort I need to put in" and it is "sacrificing immediate pleasure".
I really didn't get prepared enough for that; I used to let every bad thing that happens unexpectedly to bring me down (and even before I know it), but it's really a part of the process I have to take into account.
I forgot in order to succeed I must first lose many battles and learn.

I'm receptive to suggestions from peers and elders I guess, but the problem is me; when I fail something (or not even exactly failure) or feel inferior compared to others, my tired wandering mind keeps stuffing me negativity, and no matter how I try to bring myself up later I often still remain covered in the dark: "my old schoolmates have been living their life to the max since ages ago and it makes me feel shameful being stuck in square one all along; I'm always inadequate in (work) capability and socializing compared to people of the same ages as me and they'll find me awkward so I'm friendless." Maybe I have biggers problems than what I asked in the original question. However, my positive side still knows that I'm not to blame for all that and everything is still possible as long as I confidently believe in myself.
I will take the suggestions to try to write down what personality I desire to death to become and remind myself of it every night before I sleep.

Usually, long term goals are well defined; they don't need to be visited very often. Short term goals will normally require keeping notes for yourself. All successful people do this.

What you do is remain open-minded to changes. Change is good and will help you to explore areas you would have never dreamed possible. Be receptive to suggestions from peers and elders. Go out of the way to talk to peers and elders and how they have dealt with a dream.
Everyone has fear and hurt. It is normal. Learn from your fear, mistakes and hurt, don't deny it or supress it. Learning will make you stronger and better informed for more life altering decisions.

"Come on driftwood! I looked at your writing first. You can express yourself and have a pretty good command of sentence construction and punctuation. Personally, I get a tremendous amount of information from what and how folks write their concerns, in a manner coherent to the reader.
I'm gonna point out a few things about what I've perceived from the way you've written ... so there's no need to feel anger when you read this.
Your spelling was perfect ... perfect until you got to the word "interrupted." Since you have good attention to detail I found meaning in your error. It was misspelled because you lack power over your interruptions and it was your only way to tell others your uncontrollable problem, so far. If I were a Freudian Psychiatrist I might report that you have problems occur between your planning stage and your control stage when working for any goal. You might call it an "attention deficit disorder" that severly interferes with daily objectives. First, apparently, is your surroundings. You have, possibly, not paid proper attention to your environment. Before you finish work in it, your planning stage gets "interrupted.". Secondly, you apparently feel fear because of your recognition of a limitation in your attention. You know it exist, but, you're not sure what to do about it. This, possibly, is your only fear.
You use the past-tense in the beginning of your third sentence ... you use "I found" instead of "I find" which, in construction, means you don't "find" any longer ... you instruct your memory to forget.. You "often forget" (present tense...you forget now) when you could have used "often forgot" making it your past-tense problem and that you remember now, in the present.
Your fourth sentence begins in the present tense with, "I feel" instead of "I felt painfully weak and stuck." The "I feel" means that you haven't yet changed it to the past tense. In other words, you "feel" you continue to be "painfully weak and stuck" instead of using "felt" in getting over it as quick as possible, making it the past (you "felt" painfully weak and stuck, but, not any longer)..
In your fifth sentence you start with "I wanted" (past tense) change instead of "I want" change (indicating that you fear it and do not want change to occur).... It will come, now!.
The one note that I find appealing is when you say, "I never ceased disappointing myself." You speak in the past tense using "ceased" which shows promise that you have stopped disappointing or can stop disappointing yourself now.
Go back and read your sentences carefully, in every detail, driftwood! ... please.
You are ready for the last step you need make. Only you can make it. No one can tell you what to do. You know what to do if you wake to what you've (said) written.
I sincerely believe your only problem is the way you think.
If you read this, with your internal eye open, all will come to you in time."

Failure isnt an option.
Therefore you should be carefully deciding on what your goal will be.
Before you decide you HAVE to consider the effort you need to put in.
You wouldnt start a war or start building a house without first estimating the costs.
Thats the whole secret of success :)

I think what you are seeking is self-discipline---delayed gratification. this is a big problem in this culture where everyone has become programmed to get what they want, right NOW!...
Often times, that means sacrificing immediate pleasure. I suggest you start hatha yoga--which will help you to learn how to control your mind, your emotions--and your actions. Please go to a reputable teacher. Listen also to the voice of silence. Pray.
Finally, let go of fears, of hurts and forgive yourself & others for the shortcomings. All you have is today.

WE OFTEN GET LOST AND LOSE SIGHT OF OUR DREAMS BECAUSE OF OUR EMMIDATE DREAMS OR DESIRES. SOMETIMES WE JUST GET CAUGHT UP ONCE IT HAPPENS TEN OR TWENTY YEARS LATER YOUR DREAM IS PLACE ON HOLD. IT'S UP TO YOU TO DETERMINE I WANT MY DREAM ,AND IT NOW OR NEVER AND TAKE THE STEPS THAT'S NEEDED TO LIVE YOUR DREAM. I MEET PEOPLE ALL THE TIME IN CAREERS, AND THEY SAY TO ME A HAD A DREAM ONCE, BEFORE I TOOK THIS JOB . BUT THEN I HAD MY FIRST CHILD, I NEEDE TO FEED MY CHILD AND THEN I NEEDED A BIGGER HOME. AND I GOT STUCK AND THE SECOND CHILD CAME, AND I FORGOT MY DREAM. NOW I JUST MAKE MONEY THINGS ARE NOT BAD BUT I FORGOT MY DRAEM. IF IT'S NOT TOO LATE, IT CAN'T BE TOO LATE BECAUSE YOU ARE THINKING ABOUT IT NOW. PUT IT ON PAPER LOOK AT IT TALK TO GOD ABOUT IT , AND GO STEP BY STEP WITH YOUR PLANS. THE ONLY WAY THIS WILL WORK YOU HAVE BE ABLE TO PUT EVERYTHING ON THE SIDE, IF YOU CAN'T' DO THIS IT WILL NEVER WORK. SURROUND YOURSELF WITH PEOPLE WHO WANTS TO SEE YOU SUCCEED. GET RID OF THE BAGGAGES THAT'S WORKING AGAINST YOU. MOVE ALL THE NEGATIVE FORCES OUT OF YOUR LIFE, EVEN IF IT IS A GIRLFRIEND LOSE HER. STAY ON TRACK YOU ARE GOING TO KNOW WHO IS FOR YOU BECAUSE THEY ARE THE ONES THAT WILL BE PUSHING YOU TOWARD YOUR DREAM NOT TELLING YOU , YOU CAN DO IT OR GIVE UP. THE MOST IMPORTANT THING YOU HAVE TO OPEN YOUR EYES TO SEE WHO IS FOR YOU AND WHO'S NOT AND BE WILING TO PUT THOSE PROPLE OUT OF YOUR LIFE.

It is so easy for me to forget that everything happens in God's time not mine . I believe you could use a good support group, people who sincerely care about your well being, to remind you that God loves you and that you must have deep ,true faith in him. Everything in God's world is just as it should be !!!

I believe that if you write down your goals and post them up everywhere, then you have to face them. Break them down into manageable pieces. You can do it. Tell yourself that EVERYDAY. Good Luck
